About Me

Hey there, I'm Khephren, a 5th year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Victoria. I grew up in Winnipeg Manitoba graduating from St. Paul's High School in 2022.

My first co-op and professional work experience was at Laporte Engineering Consultants in 2024 where I developed schematics and project management deliverables for bioindustrial power distribution projects. Next, I moved to Nanaimo and joined KJ Controls. I gained experience in control panel design specifically for wastewater plants, mining equipment, and pulp mills. My most recent co-op was at Elmer's manufacturing in the summer of 2025 where I wrote embedded software for a grain cart ECU.

I've been a member of Uvic's Rocketry team since 2024 and have contributed to projects in both mechanical and electrical design. Most recently I served as Avionics lead for UVR's 2025 rocket - Anduril 3.

My technical interests lie in embedded systems, digital design, and computer architecture. Currently, I'm completing a project for the Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Award symposium on hardware acceleration for CNN-based object detection and classification on FPGAs.

In my free time I'm an avid fisherman, chess player, hockey player, and golfer. Recently I've been exposed to and started playing disc golf.
